After hitting the bar with a lot of selections lately, we got back to winning ways yesterday courtesy of the place money claimed by Foxtrot Alpha, and the cosy win of Silaah last night.

Today’s bets:

Nottingham 1.25
Volito is likely to prove hard to beat if he repeats his last performance under a six pound penalty. However, although his last win came just over four years ago, Coleorton Dancer is very tempting from a career low mark. He handles fast ground but has always been at his best when he can get his toe in. There is little doubt he is on the downgrade but he put up some decent performances from much higher marks last season and his reappearance last month after a break wasn't without encouragement. The form of his yard this month has to be a concern but Joe Fanning, who has a profitable 18% strike rate for the stable, is a positive booking.
Selection – COLEORTON DANCER. 1 point E/W @ 16/1 (General)

Nottingham 3.00
Love Pegasus has been progressive on the A/W but the same can be said about Firebet on turf. His best performance to date came over today's trip at Ripon on his reappearance and he probably didn't run far below that level dropped back to seven furlongs at Newmarket last time out. he ran as though he was in desperate need for a mile to show his best and the ease in the ground is in his favour. He has been switched to a stable who are not only in red hot form but proven in their capability of improving a horse. Evidence so far suggests that Firebet is better than a mark of 88.
Selection – FIREBET. 3 point win @ 7/2 (Betfred)

Yarmouth 4.00
Al Qedaaf looks the one to beat on his handicap debut from a reasonable looking mark. However, although more exposed, Everaad has the profile of a slowly improving Colt and it's possible he can take another step forward today. It's likely he would have gone even closer with a better draw at Beverley last time outand his form prior to that this season has a solid look to it at this level. He has shown himself to be tactically versatile and hails from a yard who have been in decent form over the past couple of months.
Selection – EVERAAD. 2 point win @ 15/2 (William Hill)

Nottingham 5.15
The in form pair of Confide In Me and Granary Girl are obvious starting points but, stepping back up in trip, Golden Future could be seen in a better light. he has improved with each outing this season over trips of between 7 and 11 furlongs but suggested last time out over a mile at Pontefract that further was needed. He didn't get the clearest of runs there but still consented to run on again at the death> His old Irish form, albeit a few years ago now, entitles him to plenty of respect from his current mark of 51, even if he is still a maiden after 20 races. One of his best career efforts came on good ground and his action doesn't suggest he will resent slightly easier conditions.
Selection – GOLDEN FUTURE. 1 point E/W @ 12/1 (Ladbrokes)

Yarmouth 5.35
We supported Dazinski last time out and he showed enough promise to so again. The way he stayed on over 12 furlongs at Beverley suggested today's longer trip would be to his liking and he looks the type of horse who enjoys top of the ground conditions. His Grand Dam was a half sister to St Leger winner Shantou and, although not as stoutly bred, the subsequent appearance of Nashwan in his Dam's breeding ensures plenty of stamina, as does his Sire, Sulamani. The Beverley form looks pretty reliable at this stage and, with likely improvement after just five races, Dazinski can take advantage of a mark of 69.
Selection – DAZINSKI. 3 point win @ 7/2 (Skybet and William Hill)
