Yet another good day yesterday with Total Impact getting his head in front (advised at 9/1) and Hansomis finding just one too good but picking up the place money (advised at 16/1)

Today’s bets:

Lingfield 5.15
Not a big field but a very competitive race nonetheless. Elisiario comes here seeking a hat-trick after two wins over seven furlongs on the fibresand at Southwell. He handles polytrack, is relatively lightly raced and appears to be progressing with each outing. He has shown an admirable attitude by being positive from a long way out in both those victories and today's four pound higher mark is unlikely to prevent him getting very competitive. He represents a yard whose horses have been in good form on both turf and the A/W in recent months. Lopinot is the outsider of this field but he doesn't deserve to be such a big price which is probably more akin to his trainer and jockey than his inherent ability. He was just over three lengths behind Phar Mai Blue, who is currently trading at under half his price, last time out but that rival got first run on him and his jockey didn't subject him to a hard time once his chance had gone in the latter stages. He travelled well through the race and gave the impression that he was still in good heart. A three time C/D winner he is still ten pounds lower than when he won here just over two seasons ago. His jockey rode her first two winners earlier this month and her seven pound claim reduces Lopinot to a featherweight.
Selection – ELISIARIO. 2 point win @ 5/1 (Sportingbet)
Selection – LOPINOT. 0.5 points E/W @ 28/1 (Stan James)

Beverley 6.20
Hels Angel is five pounds higher than for her win at Thirsk last time out but she can rated much better than the bare form of that narrow victory. Forced to race wide from a poor draw she made up a lot of ground turning for home. She is a progressive Filly who looks likely to make her presence felt in this better race from a decent draw. She is versatile regarding ground conditions and is the only representative of her in form stable at the races today. Sampower Rose made her reappearance in that Thirsk race, also from a poor draw, but she fared less well, eventually being beaten 20 lengths. However she was a progressive Filly last season and it was noticeable that her jockey never resorted to the whip at any stage of the race, suggesting it was probably needed. She is unexposed over a mile and, from a better draw, she could be a different proposition tonight.
Selection – HELS ANGEL. 3 point win @ 7/2 (General)
Selection – SAMPOWER ROSE. 0.5 points E/W @ 25/1 (General)

Beverley 6.50
Last time out winners Antigua Sunrise and Classic Contours will probably grab most of the market attention but if Dazinski turns up fit enough on his reappearance then he could get involved at a bigger price. The fact his Newmarket stable send just the one to the track and have booked a top jockey suggests he will be straight enough. He produced consistent performances in his four Maiden/Handicap races last season from 7-9 furlongs but he is bred to be better over middle distances. If he does prove to be so then the handicapper may have taken a risk dropping him to a mark of 69. He has only raced on fast ground so far but his Dam is related to a few that handled slower ground so any rain may not ruin his chances.
Selection – DAZINSKI. 2 point win @ 8/1 (General)

Beverley 8.50
Selection – NESAYEM. 2 point win @ 11/2 (General)
