It would off been a nice night game at liverpool, but some players thought otherwise and just couldn't be bothered, I see other teams like everton putting out a strong team

To be fair , that cup and the fa cup is all they have to play for. They finish mid table every season, so a cup run wouldn't be a distraction and their fans are demanding a wembley day out to taire them away from the monotony.

Yes but can we have a decent cup run before the collapse of human civilisation? Is it so much to ask?

Given the current economic and structural situation at the R's then I would say yes it is too much to ask. Not too much to expect though.
