  • Football ruined a cracking day out again

Was a glorius morning and after a couple of early pints by Trafalger Sq we caught the party boat down to the Thames Barrier and what a great journey it was down the river but a fair old walk when we stopped up to the ground

Had a quick couple in the Antigalleon or whatever it was called which was like a sauna and absolutely packed and then walked to the turnstiles past a couple of small groups of Rangers wanting to fight each other!

Great atmosphere in the ground and we were all over them but the longer we did not score you could see Charltons confidence rising and sure enough they scored and we never looked like getting back in to but very early days of course and if we play like we did for the first 25 minutes or so we will be alright this season

It's the same when we go away, rarely do we win, footy gets in the way of a good day out we should be used to it by now.
I popped in the Pickwick & Denmark of rose, they were being like on a set of 'life on Mars' one reminded me of delboys pub the Nags head
As you say it was a nice day until the second half started
Thank **ck thats all over with !!! need a holiday!!!

      why

why once more are we getting groups of qpr wanting to fight each other i thought all that had finished this is nothing to do with any of our traditional thug army these are yet more fractions
sarting to kick off and will probably really escalate at brentford
the brentford have been goading the youngsters on a lot and there has become a lot of friction between acton and brentford
its a shame really because on the grand scale of events hooliganism has disapeared but london derbies seem to bring out the crazy gang
remember that away game at watford where the watford ambushed some qpr fans

its all a bit of an oddity

Agree Isleworth another day out ruined. Its a shame as it was such a nice day. Saw a few groups having words outside before the game and 2 older gentlemen scuffling in the stands just before kick off.

        Madness

This seems to becoming a habit at The Valley; must be something to do with the low altitude. Think some need to remain on higher ground

Saw quite a bit of people in other peoples seats, maybe that had something to do with it. Then there were the drunken fans mouthing obscenities at older Charlton fans who were minding their own business on our right, and standing the whole game, blocking the view. Quite amusing that the game started off with these fans singing Rangers and Austin's praises, then completely turning on them before halftime.

First game of the season coupled with most starting on it early and a few hundred on a party boat for about 3 hours

Deffo the nice day and the boat trip i reckon. First whole day away from the missus for quite a few as well, so its like a new years eve party for some let off the leash.

That explains it. Some looked edgy, but most were good natured. Even the dope who got himself thrown out first half down the front for attempting to offer out Charlton fans. Stewards thought he was asking them for assistance at first.....

There will be a load of p issed up northolt against cardiff, will be an emotional day. One of the proper rangers boys has been told he aint got long left so there will be one hell of a bash with his brother and the gang.
