  • What have we leaned from todays game?

    Well...

Faulin, Chery & Loungo look very tidy together.

    Polter is improving.

Perch is a very good right back and will keep Furlong out of the side.

JET could be a "game changer" style player.

We are blessed with great strength in depth in midfield with both Doughty, Henry & Diakite coming on in second half, plus Mackie, Fer & Sandro to come back (assuming no further sales)

But conversely we look very very light up top (although Blackwood did impress with work rate)

We cant rely on The Chief & Hill as centre back partnership for the whole season and need another two in before deadline.

    Any other observations?

The lad Hall looked interesting, I think Cole Kw will move to CB when Yun and Traore return, the RB position is now sorted, midfield is scary, up front, if Austin stays, we have three forwards, playing one up front, we are sorted, well happy!

You forgot to add Gladwin to that list, think Blackwood is the one we've been looking for.

I thought Gladwin "grew into" fist half. Looked a bit out of his depth to begin with but last 10 minutes of first half showed what a potentially good player he could be.

At the moment probably - feel bit sorry for Grego-Cox as they look very similar players

Different type, JET looks like he can create and score.

What have we learned from today?

Well it confirmed that Les and CR have a plan... A team I personally find easier to identify with...that it's a team that is In the early stages of being polished...

Certainly gives me hope for the future

I agree with you, I would like to see us create a bit more for the strikers.

Thats about the size of it for me too. I think expecting to go straight back up or challenging for the playoffs is ridiculous at this stage.

We were but I'd start JET & Diakite.

Possibly but not sure about JET and Polter up front together. Bit lumpy.
