Midfielders are pants. Even the saintly no paced Faurlin. Team is pants, frankly, save Nelsen and Hill. But Cisse's being a baby who can't create anything unless it's created for him is part of the problem, not the solution. Decent strikers, even in weak teams, don't stay outside a game until someone puts something on a plate for them.

How about when God (Mackie!) has 2 players storming into the box screaming for the ball only for him to not even look up then blaze the ball 20 yards to wide & to hard for them both. That is more of a worry IMO. Clueless footballer but don't tell me great at running.

Agree Cisse isn't amazing but if rather him in the side than Mackie. Absolute dog sh!t. Give Cisse some better service & we could have a fair moan then.

We're stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea. Both midfield and attack are v poor at creating chances and scoring goals. That's why having Cisse as a supposed poacher hanging around and creating nothing is a luxury we can no longer afford. New strikers are badly, badly needed. I wish Cisse could or would do it for us. We'll be here until next Christmas waiting for goals unless we change it.

You seem to forget he does score if given chances... as he did today.

Cisse is a poacher not a lone striker. He was only effective (at Liverpool as well as us) when we playing him alongside a strong striker. In his last season with the Scousers, at Lazio, and this season with us- he is playing as a lone striker when thats not his fe*king position.

Other than the fact that he gets rubbish service from our midfield, when he plays out of position he is never going to be as good as he was last season. He is never going to be the type of player that can hold the ball up so all he can do is stay on the shoulder of the last defender and hope for some support from the midfield.

This is just like the time our lot slated Delany and Rambo as full backs when they played where the coach told them to even though they were not capable of fulfilling that role as well as other players.

We need to wait for Harry to bring Cisse a strike partner or Zamora to return so we can have an effective Cisse instead of having a go at our own yet again...

Said it before that if he gets chances he will score goals. He gets no service at all. If he was missing chances we created then he should be slated but he gets no service or anyone creating anything.

He is by a million miles our best chance at scoring so he has to play.

A quality finish today. Just a pity we can't supply the chances more often. Because he has no support from a second striker he is reduced to having long shots from outside of area. When in the area he will look dangerous.
If Adel actually looked for the simple ball occasionally and mackie learnt to pass then we may well survive. But I think we would be better off cashing in on Adel and getting a decent striker to play with Cisse.
Maybe Anelka could do the job? Who knows but to get rid of Cisse is just plain crazy

Working hard isnt what Cisse's about, people need to understand he isnt going to run through walls like Mackie will, but give him the right service and we all know he is a deadly finisher, other players aren't really providing him with great chances
