4-2-3-1 if we have the pace.....

Not a big fan otherwise (JFH's favoured set up) becuase it defaults way too easily to 4-5-1 leaving man up top isolated.

Also very easy set up for opposition defences to deal with, easier than 4-4-2 for example, partly because it became a kind
of default (for second rate managers).

The only way it can work is with real pace from back to front, ie French style. Which would be nice.....

Been playing 4-2-3-1 in friendlies occasionally switching to 4-3-3.

            Novice keeper

            Weak back four

            Confused mid field

            Ineffectual strikers

            ( I understand)

Doesn’t need pace from back to front. Our league winning team played that formation and didn’t.

I wouldnt say Faurlin, Derry, Hill, Hulse, Orr, Gorkss or Helguson had pace!

It needs pace and skill in the three behind the striker and we have that. Freeman’s head may be gone so i’d play BOS, Eze and Smyth in there

I don't think we will risk freeman. I can see him being on the bench as the club won't want to lose out on his transfer fee, a real disgrace but can't see him starting because of it
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Rubbish & will be in the team that’s picked, he’s a Qpr player & hasn’t signed for anyone, leaving him out the team will entice him away & we don’t want that.

I like the looks of this and think we will set up something close to it!

How many times will Eze get fouled? Going for at least a dozen times.

Sylla, smyth and manning, wsolev are all great options of the bench. I just hope Washington is no where near the first 11.
