And then we gave them total intimidation. Can we make it a bad place for them again tomorrow, right from the off? I remember ric-roc's spurs mate texting him during the spurs game and saying 'what's with the booing, will you lot shut the f**k up, you're doing our heads in'.

I know we're all a bit down the way things are going, but it's not a time for giving up. Make the noise, we could get a result. Our players seem to love it.

Think we are just fooling ourselves with this so-called intimidation thing.
Partizan Belgrade, Galatasaray, Zenit St.Petersburg, that's where you will see real intimidation.
What goes on at English grounds wouldn't scare a little girl.
Nah, much more important is that our lot play to their full potential, if they do that, we can dispense with the 'yah-boo' pantomime impressions.

As much as I like it when the booing gets going, I think we kid ourselves abit that it really intimidates opposition players.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Disagree. When I was over on loft 4 words they had an old boy called Ted. Not the one we have.

Well anyway he came down the stairs and gave Gareth Bale, who let's face it is a big lad, a real boll ocking. Veins popping out the side of his head and full on head to head intimidation. You can't play these things down, the bloke threw all his passion and anger behind it. That's what we need more of. He didn't break the law he just reminded bale you ain't getting things your own way. We won the match and lived happily ever after. It makes a difference trust me
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I know that might all sound over the top but it's true. We are much closer to the pitch than many football stadiums around the world and thats what the players aren't used too.

There was a picture floating around with Ted confronting bale. Some of you won't be old enough but he reminded me of a slightly older Charlton Heston in planet of the ape's which is a great film, confronting 1 of them with no fear, can't be played down and deserved the credit he got on that board.

The great thing about cinema WeAre, is that no matter how old the film is it will always remain available to all generations so irrelevant of being old enough I am sure many on here will know the scene you mean

Put that pic of Ted/Bale next to the scene from planet of the apes and it would be like spot the difference.

that's true and I think it's been re released quite a few times. I just can't have anyone trying to play it down. The problem is it only ever happens in the big games, but it was a massive part of us staying up imo.

Barton+Zamora in the line up would have more impact than anything the crowd can do unfortunately. Unless the arming of LR with torches and pitchforks suggestion is adopted. Not sure why Fernandes hasn't tried this already.

I saw it with my own eyes. Ted got into Bales face and for the rest of the game, 1 of the best players in the world was rattled

When we beat Chelsea, tottenham and arsenal at home the crowd 100% made a difference I witnessed it with my own eyes.

exactly, people aren't looking at the big picture. I mean it was obvious, at times players didn't want to take a corner because it was like walking into hell. Mata was the best for shi tting it. He really didn't want to go near us. Generally though it had a massive effect on the quality of the corner which on it's own is a massive bonus because we are dodgy at defending set pieces so it all helps massively

I've seen many worried players coming to take corners down by R block. Poor little Mata had to swap with Fat Frank he couldn't take the abuse. There have been tons of **** corners from that end simply because they're more worried about what's going on behind them than kicking the ball. I don't know the chap but there's a guy with a blonde mohawk who has a real good go every week, well played sir!

Anyone who says that home crowd does not influence the game - please explain why every team has better results at home?
