Unproven at this level, only a year on his contract and we let our (argueably) best defender go? Not a chance.

That's not to say I wouldn't like to see us sign him, just not on those terms.

£6mil, that is some joke right. a league 1 player being worth that i dont think so, we could get a couple of lower prem strikers for that money. Bates must be related to flav with being all tight.

Let me get this straight. 11 of you actually think Beckford (unproven above League 1) is not only better than Gorkss (best defender in the defence that kept the most clean sheets) but worth an additional £2.5m.

We need a striker but not at close to that cost specially if he is unproven.
