Nobody would have guessed what an important player he would be for us this season, most wanted him sold/given away in the summer. With our injuries at the moment we have been fortunate to have a player to step in,but what happens in HH gets injured against Donny, who steps in?,Agyemang,Clarke,German, none of them can do the same job and Hulse is still out injured. It would not surprise me if NN brings in another forward on loan,as even if he stays fit he will need to be rested now and then,Obviously when Hulse is fit at last we should be ok but still short up front in my opinion, and Smith is a wide player.

Certainly but what Helguson gives us is a striking option many wrote off.Originally posted by mccoyranger1 View PostStill not the answer in my opinion. Many thought he did a good job on Saturday at Leicester. He was pretty non existent for me. Will be glad to see Hulse fit, to see what he can do.

How can it get better with Hulse on top instead of Heidar.
Table says we got 19 out of possible 21 points. - 125 points for the season
Scoring almost 3 goals per game on average. Since we have also scored 19 goals we will end up with scoring 125 goals.
People want to break this wonderful streak up - because HH missed few sitters 2 seasons ago - was with with another team last season

Unnecessary meddling with a team that's yet to lose a match this season, would be absolute madness.
Thankfully, Neil Warnock has been around long enough in football to appreciate this salient point.
Heidar Helguson deserves his place in the team, and Hulse will no doubt get his chance to shine, but first he must wait, and that's just how it should be.

I have been slaughtered by some on here for praising Helguson for a couple of seasons now. He is blatantly a fantatic player at this level, and a right handful. We can all see he misses chances, but I reckon he gets in the positions more than others might too, and he never shirks the opportunity to get the ball after a mistake, or have another go.
He is by far our best centre forward, and unless injured or being rested when two games in a week, I can't see him losing his place.

Presumably, sooner or later an opposition manager is going to focus on stopping Mackie by double marking him or something? If and when that happens they can't also double mark Adel? If they do both the likes of Hogan and Helguson will have all the space in the world to do their thing? Looking forward to teams making the mistake of thinking they can stop us by stopping our best players because they will then realise there are too many best players to stopOriginally posted by HammersmithR View PostHelgusson is such a nuisance to the opposition centre halves that he allows players like Tarabat space to do their stuff.
