  • Team for Saturday

Best performance so far this season first half of Tuesday’s game, played with pace with a few putting in good performances so I expect a few changes for Saturday. My team would be

    Lumley

    Kakay - BFG - Lynch - Bidwell

    Scowan - Cousins

    Pav - Eze - Freeman

    Washington

Want Pav starting games. Playing out of position for last two seasons has been a waste. At this level good player. Would be crazy not to take advantage of that.

Not sure I'm quite ready for Washington to start! New manager new start so open minded but needs to be eased in. Finishing woeful and confidence shot to pieces last season. Has a lot to prove.

Could see him replacing Kakay with Baptiste in a back four , should be a tough game ! Hopefully we'll have a new forward on the bench for the 1st half

Wouldn't have cousins any where near the first 11. Poor player at this level just like Washington and I wouldn't let a half decent performance against a team at his level confuse anyone in thinking hes the answer to compete at championship level.

        My team would be -

        Lumley

        Kakay BFG Lynch Bidwell

        Scowen Luongo

        Pav Eze Freeman

        Sylla

                Eze up front?

Could be quite interesting if he adopted a role like Charlie and if nothing was happening could get back, dig something out and create opportunities? Think I prefer Eze in a deeper position coming forwards and running at defences.

This will be a defence minded game from our point of view. I agree of playing Washington as a lone striker as he has pace, something neither Sylla nor Smith has. he is not so prolific, however, I prefer him from those available. My eleven will be:

Ingram; Kakay, Leistner, Baptiste, Bidwell, Scowen, Cousins, Pawel, Eze, Freeman, Conor.

I'm assuming from these suggested teams that Rangel isn't in contention for some reason?...Is he not match fit?

I think he's just been brought in for cover.

Cover for Furlong though who is injured until about January hence Rangel being signed until January?...I assumed he'd start ahead of Kakay with his experience, as much as I respect Kakay, Rangel's got the experience that we need with such a young team....I suppose we'll find out on Saturday.

Kakay has arguably been our best player so far.

I didn't realise he'd been playing so well this season - don't fix what aint broke I suppose....but two losses....something needs to change and Rangel's all we've changed....erm?

The offie match preview says Rangel is not up to full fitness yet. Goss and Furlong are the other two mentioned. Grant Hall gets no mention so might be on the bench.
