It seems that although we now have Reid, Watson and Williams off the wage bill we are not prepared to stretch to pay Kitson what he wants. If Pete is correct in saying that Alberti and Pellicori will also leave this month then we should have significantly reduce the wage bill enough to sign him.Originally posted by robbo86 View PostIs kitson signing all not or we settling for WEBBER. please just answer peoples questions!!!

I don't understand Kitson...
He wants to play in London to suit his wife and her job, so that would limit the number of clubs that would buy him. in the prem his options would be ####, Tot, Chel, Ful, West Ham. The 1st 3 will not want him, and West Ham can't afford him if he's asking for £30k a week. The next clubs in line would be championship clubs, thats Watford - can't afford, Palace - can't afford, Reading -can't afford, and us!
we must have put togehter a fairly attractive package for him to sign but he want's £30K. It'll end in tears for the Kitsons, and obvioulsy if he is saying no to us, then he's not fit to wear the shirt. Can we please sign Simpson...hes proving his worth in the shirt!

that is a rumour/estimate that pete thinks he will want, not the amount he actually wants, i think if we wanted to then we can do a deal for kitson with bonuses and signing on fees...etcOriginally posted by gingerrangers View PostI don't understand Kitson...

Thing is we don't know what sort of contracts have been drawn up for some of our players. Wouldn't surprise me to find out that a player like Fitz Hall or Ramage can't have a player at the club earning so much more % than him etc.Originally posted by sirpiechucker View PostIt seems that although we now have Reid, Watson and Williams off the wage bill we are not prepared to stretch to pay Kitson what he wants. The whole situation stinks of poor management, we have signed a load of duds no one else would be interested in taking off our hands especially on the wages they are on. Vine & Ageymang are just 2 who have refused to go out on loan, they know they are on a winner here and yet when you look at their body language neither could care less. On top of that we have 3 players who were signed as crocks who would command virtually no transfer fee, yet are on extortinate wages.
This summer I would seriously think about paying up a few players contracts if they refuse to leave...set the stall, maybe it might inspire those players worth holding onto to play for the shirt.Last edited by W12_Ranger; 03-01-2010, 08:18 PM.
