yes....when teams like bolton a few yrs back played a 2 nd team....the romance is gone.

realistically it's the big 4 and maybe spurs, everton and man c who can win it.

I think Man City will do the cup double this year.

couldn't give a toss about it,we need to concentrate on getting enough points to stay in the champ cos at the rate we are going thats all we have to look forwards to!

Yes.....It's out-dated....It can't compete with promotion/relegation from whichever division the lower league teams happen to be in. I'd take the Play-offs ahead of an FA cup run. Both the League Cup & FA Cup were taken seriously back in the 70's and 80's.....Once the Premiership came along, they both became "nice to have's". Finishing 5th in the Premier League is arguably of more value than winning the FA Cup nowadays and so you've got about 8 or 9 teams trying to do that and the other 11 in the prem more interested in avoiding relegation. Every half-decent side out of the Prem will be putting promotion as their number 1 priority. The League is more permanent and Financially rewarding....a one-off cup win is so quickly just a result in a history book and a shiny bit of silverware in a cabinet.
