Sows that the 4 or 5 players people say we only need is a long way off. We need some quality and IMO we need at least 9 players or 10 brought in.

I agree mate. Hopefully though the majority of our buys will be long term investment this time and not a load of 33 year olds on 1 year deals. If we get this right this time then we will have a decent nucleus and will only need to add two or 3 maximum each year rather than our usual 10 or 11 player splurge.
