To have 4 or 5 centre backs all competing for a starting place and trying to impress NW in training is healthy. Gorksy and Conners won't be easily shifted by Shi ttu, Hall or Hill, but by trying, they all become good cover for injuries/suspensions etc. Form and fitness will win.

Neither Clarke nor Ledesma. I'd personally play Ephraim or Parker. And Hall over Shittu any day.

My memory of Big Dan is that he was a rock when playing along side Clarke Carlisle - when Carlisle was out suspended, injured or hung over then Dan looked like a bit of a lost sheep.

Maybe he has a bit more self belief now?

We've needed one for years, if we're serious about going up we need a goal machine! Routledge and Shittu are great but this should be a priority.
