Right, so we have lost Walker, lost Mackie, and have no money to spend, but they are all "red herrings" as you put it?

I call them cold hard facts mate, events of the past week or so have certainly not helped us in our push for promotion, and that's another fact.

We need reinforcements badly, the squad is scarily thin.

Even David Blunkett could see this.

If the board can't then we might as well just write the season off.

See you at Barnsley next year then.

Mackie could have got injured anytime, next week, the week after that's football. Walker was a loan, we all knew that, so no great surprise he's gone, as do most loans. I share your pain but I cannot believe for a moment that funds won't be forthcoming, Dr Boo recommends a few beers!!

I doubt the board would be happy about NW painting them in a bad light by saying there is no money when there is.

And actually the club were hopeful of keeping Walker, and it came as a surprise to everyone when Villa came in.

Mackie's injury has sickened me, im devestated for him and us. I really couldnt believe my eyes when i saw our starting 11, i was sure Warnock would of put out a reserve 11.
As for Warnocks quotes about having no dough, i take them with a pinch of salt, didnt he say on Goals on Sunday 'If i want someone the board will back me'.
This is as low as i have felt since the season started.
                    Gutted and worried.
