Having spoken to both players on thefolf day today -

Rowlands is very hopeful of making the squad for Middlesboro. He played 60 mins in Resses this week and no ill affects.

Cooky is looking at 5 weeks to be in the same place, 2 before stepping up traing to whetr Rowly is now.

That said I've a hunch NW likes Rowly, but perhaps Cookie less so. Based on end of last season and only my opinion.

But injury updates both from the horses mouths. Honestly.

A lot has been said for Rowly and Cook not playing again because of injury, but the same was said of Danny maddix, he was knackered but had an operation, saw a Faith Healer (Hoddles eileen) and `Hey Presto` He was healed. He went on to play for 5 more years. They`ll be back.

your opinion because rowlands is a fan favourite or is that a warnock statement? ;)

id bet that warnock will choose derry over rowlands.

Is he left-footed though, or just able to play either side?

Apart from Ephraim what other left-sided midfielder/winger do we have?

Surely thats reason enough to hang on to Cook?

Rowlands is a fantastic pro and servant to this club, imo still has alot to offer and we will see him in a rangers shirt again very soon...

Problem with Cook is as soon as he gets over this latest issue he will have another. Crying shame because he had alot of potential... I just cant see him ever hitting his height again before something else go's wrong.

i reckon warnock rates martin more than legs. and imo i do too.

cook wont get in unless said names you mentioned get injured.
I think they both have a chance if they can stay 100% fit. Rowlands will be in ahead of Leigertwood and Cook will come in the side and deliver quality crosses for Hulse. Cook, although slower, is a better provider than Ephraim.

I think Rowly will definitely play again. Warnock rates him

We could have done with him against Derby and Savage

Even if fit now, he'd be struggling to get into the 16 man match day squad.
