But we bought Heider for 400,000 after Ramage joined so we must have had some money.

Totally agree with you on Parejo, what a waste...............

Ageymang and Hall cost combined 1 million, but you to have weigh that up with Connolly 100K, Mahon 100k, Gorkss 250k, Buzz 500k, Routledge 400k plus loan deals for Tarrabt, Simpson and Watson.

Not sure why you are leaving them out???

Totally right Ageymang and Hall 4half year deals, but thats great with hindsight. Unless you went missing under De Canio, Ageymang didn't too badly, what happens a year after you cannot really cater for, same with Vine. Before his injury, we all thought he was class.

    Hall is now at Newcastle
    Watson now at WBA
    Routledge now at Newcastle
    Blackstock now at Forest
    Camp at Forest

Why did we sell them, well I'm sure you don't need to be Einstein to work that out

Call me an idiot, but if you don't have money to buy a player, what can you do?

    Agent fees?/

I saw a league table, where we were 1 place from bottom and another where we were near the top?? diviided by 6 months each over the year. The very fact, we haven't bought anyone will mean again on agents fee when the next table comes out we will be near the bottom?

(I can track the agent fee tables if need be, for the last two tables)

I say again what are we arguing about?
would you say spending anything between £5M & £7M on Aggy & Halls 4 & a half year contracts "Peanuts"

do you also think paying (a reportedly £1M "loan fee) for Pajero "Peanuts"

also can you point me in the direction of the proof of your claims, as i can't see it for love or money

Unbalanced squad. we have Rowlands and Mahon out for the season?

Do agree, money available to buy quality was very limited
We had Faurlin, Leigertwood and Watson so why sign Reid? If the club really believed we needed 4 central midfielders with Rowlands and Mahon out why did we not sign someone as well as Quashie.

One key example of an unbalanced squad is how many natural right backs do we have? Ramage was made a right back when Stephen Carr was injured but was youth team captain at centre back for Newcastle as was Connolly for Arsenal. Leigertwood doesn't have the defensive capabilities.

    Wow - that's some depreceation!

NB - I think all those loans carry a level of fee. I know that at least two of those loans cost us six figures.
Add to this Parejo's salary and I should imagine there was a significant amount spent.

Not alot of it particularly well IMO.

I think the argument from me was what little money we have spent we've spent badly. Money, whether it be on salaries, agent fees or transfer fees on unneccessary signings like Alberti, Tomassi and Reid is money spent badly.

Before the takeover we had a few decent players (Rowlands, Camp, Stewart and Blackstock) who would all make an 18 man squad if they were all still at the club meaning that we only needed to improve with 20 signings not 40+. Weaknesses weren't identified early enough and the constant changes in manager have meant an umbalanced squad with each new manager plus Briatore wanting different things. Whether we've spent £1m or £100m we could have spent the money better. Did we need to sign Alberti? With Ainsworth, Cook, Buzsaky, Ephraim and Ledesma the club did we really need to sign another winger?
