Striker Smyth needed five stitches in a gash on his left knee suffered at Ipswich last weekend and sat out Wednesday’s 1-0 loss to Milton Keynes at The Valley.
Charlton boss Lee Bowyer....... “Smyth’s gash had to be reopened so that it could all be cleaned out. They had to redo it.
