Glen Roeder was awesome. When he used to go on one his saunters down the pitch with his "double-shuffle" (I seem to remember one against Blackburn in the mid-80's where he went the length of the pitch, played a one-two and scored a screamer), and that's all from a centre-back. He used to read the game better than any Rangers defender I remember, in fact he was probably the only proper sweeper playing in England during the 80's.

Really liked Andy Sinton, Paul Parker and Clive Wilson. Fenwick was OK too, as The Seaman.

In my 28 yrs & given different divisions.

Ray Wilkins (best passer of the ball seen at LR).

Terry Fenwick (best captain, class defender & hard with it).

                      Alan Mcdonald (ask Mark Hughes).

Kevin Gallen (slow in his 2nd spell but his control & passing were prem class)

Martin Rowlands (consistently best we have now)
