Do you not think he watched the same game most of us did against Liverpool earlier on in the season when they got absolutely served up at home? A Liverpool side that were not top at the time, but challenging spurs for 4th place roughly. Anyone who watched that game knew he had to go. Levy was not pressured by the media. He watched that performance.
As for the paragraph about Sandro. Don't suppose it could be down to the fact the guy had a bad week in training? Can a manager not drop a player for this or should he pick players based on international appearances / past performances ala Bosingwa / JSP ?
- Spurs were still in the match at 2-0 down until 65mins or so, when Paulinho got sent off and they collapsed. Before that they were VERY MUCH still in the match.
- Sherwood's Spurs got smashed 4-0 with 11 men a couple months afterwards.
- Liverpool have been smashing teams all year (prob cos they only play once a week) - **** 5-1, Everton 4-0, Utd 3-0, & they beat the league's best team citeh.
- Spurs were on a 5 match winning streak before that match and were 6 points off 4th with a game in hand. That's not bad, no matter what the headlines say.
As for Sandro, have you seen him play? He's a beast, a fan favourite, Spurs' best DM and surely worth having on the bench at least. I don't buy this 'had a bad week in training' shite, you play your best players. The one position Spurs have an abundance of good players in CM, but Sherwood has persisted with his lovechild Bentaleb all year.
Sherwood hasn't got Spurs playing nice football, he just sends them out to attack without a plan, just like Arry used to do. How did Arry do when he could'nt rely on Modric, Bale, Dembele etc to outclass the opposition on their own? Oh yeah...
Yet him & his media mates still try and act as if he's overachieved>? & people believe this rubbish? Just shows most football fans don;t watch matches, they read headlines.
