  • All things R's

Read a lot in here in the last few weeks, so thought I'd throw in my tuppence worth on current goings on.

Transfer policy - All wrong. No thought towards the future. Young hungry players are the way forward. "Name" players took us down two years ago, and we're making the same mistakes. Having said that, I thought Mutch fit the bill of what I mean, and has been poor.

Manager - not a fan of Harry, but not sure it would make a difference to change now with what is likely to be at our disposal come the end of the window. Distinct lack of pace in the side, and "home" tactic of knocking long to Bobby is no shock to anyone anymore. Palace & United negated with a shield in front. Plan B required.

The board - naive, but heart in the right place

Still been a fan for 30 odd years, so seen worse days than these!

Thanks - and apologies, long suffering season ticket holder who thought he'd share his grumbles with a lot of other long suffering sorts!

Football isn't about the future and long term strategy anymore. It's about staying in the PL at almost any cost.
what you're describing is league 1 club; bringing in young hungry players etc

i think the Bobby thing Needs to change. He's a part time championship player really

Get your point, but when you look at Southampton, and the type of player they have bought, let alone those they have brought through their academy, puts us to shame.

"The kids missed everything from Queens Park Rangers to Conkers".

London Pride has been handed down to us.
London Pride is a flower that's free.
London Pride means our own dear town to us,
And our pride it for ever will be.

Agree but also puts a lot of other clubs to shame too.

I do believe our club Is working towards building a better academy. According to the 'updates' we get anyway!

Hope you're right. Been a while since we developed one of our own. Key for a club of our size.

whats frustrating is a couple of seasons back the u18's paraded round the pitch with a trophy, where are these players now.
