    On the flip side.

    3 clean sheets from 5 games in the Premiership is mighty fine going.

          We have that because we got a fine defence and our very own King Kenny in goal! :drunk:

            I agree. We gave Newcastle & Wolves away a maximum of 3 shots on target combined. That's quality at any standard never mind the Premiership.

                Looking at it like that puts a big ol' grin on me face regardless of quality of oppo by the PL standards, the above stats are very very impressive and signal that we are going to have a very promising season

                  Exactly.

                  And for that reason, it still baffles me why Gabbidon has been subjected to a slating by many a fan on this board. For me he has been very solid, bar 2 sloppy passes against newcastle.

                  The fact we restricted Newcastle so much was highlighted as an even bigger achievemnt as they then went to Villa and should've won the game, and would've if it weren't for the superb Shay Given.

                  Newcastle are decent and on their best form for years and we made them look woeful. Also Wolves on their own patch are normally solid and last year beat Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea..... Puts our domination more into perspective. We have simply played sublime football in the last two games.

                    Anyone who has slated Gabbidon is one of 2 things;

                    1) Blind

                    2) Stoooopid

                    He's been superb for us & 99.9% of people with a bit of knowledge of football can see how good he's been for us.

                      I find it hard to understand why or how any person could slate any of the players currently in the team, as its the best team QPR have had in nearly 17-18 years. Apart from DJ for Bothrord and visa versa, there is no one on the bench, better than we had playing v Newcastle and Wolves.

                          Top posts. Some of our fans do seem to always need a scapegoat. Now Conners isnt playing it seems Gabbidon has been "elected" for this role. IMO, wholey undeserved, very godo player who has been solid for us. Literally has made 2 sloppd passes and thats it, yet so have all of our players, theyre only human, but it seems on certain players get it picked up on.
                          The fact Gabbidon has played in all of our games so far, in which we have kept clean sheets in 60% of them, says it all really.

                          Him and ScoobyDoo seem to have struck up a decent partnership already (maybe helped by Wet Spam days) and I have total confidence in them.

                            Exactly Matty.

                            If we're honest the first couple of games Faurlin couldn't buy a decent pass to a team mate but why would we dig him out? Helps no one.

                            Absolutely delighted with the lads efforts thus far & fully expecting us to trouble many a side this season so the least we can do is do our part by getting behind EVERY single player wearing the hoops.
