S'pose it's a natural outcome of having about 20% of EVERY football match played broadcast live on telly..... results in millions of armchair managers, refs, scouts etc.

I personally play the armchair physio role - watch game crouched by side of settee with a bucket and Ralgex; ready to sprint round room every time the ref waves me on.
