The man comes across very well. He said on sky last night how Aston villa should be proud with the way they deal with transfers etc. You can't buy class

Don't know what he is like in business, but I agree, when it comes to football matters he has class. Look at the dignified way he runs Wigan. Treats fans players, managers and other clubs with respect. How many would have sacked Martinez after a few games without a win?

Shame T&C do none of those.

Does come across extremely well. Often the way when its the local boy made good who becomes the chairman (as at Wolves and Blackburn some years ago). Still, we will see how dignified he is when Martinez departs to Villa...

He is a lovely guy.Had the pleasure of meeting him a few times in the 70's.We both had apartments in Cala Vinas,Majorca (Mallorca),difference was he had a huge boat with full crew.He also had a Riva speedboat called LLAME DOS which read backwards was SOD EM ALL. We also played squash a few times.As I say,a nice bloke.PS Broke his leg playing in the FA cup final for Blackburn.

Look at how he has kept prices affordable for Wigan fans.
