  • Peter Crouch and me

Suppose this is a claim to fame.

Martin Allen used to run Soccer Schools out of Brunel University - they were highly QPR centric with Ray Wilkins and Alan McDonald being involved and it was mainly Rs that went on them.

Anyway, me and Crouch went on the same one. Funny thing is that I was probably taller than him at the time! In his book he's got a picture of him getting presented with his certificate at QPR by the legend that is...Justin Channing! lol My dad's got a virtually identical photo of me getting presented with my certificate and crouch is sitting in the background of it....more than likely we played against each other.

Albeit thats where the similarities end obviously. One of us went on to be recognisable all over the world, be blessed with skill and have a pretty bird on his arm, the other went on to be Peter Crouch. ;)

Did anyone else go on the Martin Allen soccer schools? Or if you're in your 50s did your kids??

Really? You never know we might have played against each other? They were a good crack and being a QPR fan meeting the likes of Alan and Wilkins well, they were like gods to me, happy memories.
