Most decent strikers from the Prem who may be available are going to be on big wages, and we would be forced to pay a large percentage of that. Surely it would be better to invest that money on someone like Austin. Although he would cost us a transfer fee his wages would be considerably lower. Some would say he would be a gamble, but who wouldn't be ? Miller and Roberts are not going to guarantee us goals just because they are coming from a Prem club.

Not so much a dilemna IMO, more a case of cost/benefit analysis - we either need to invest in a decent prem striker and pay a large chunk of his wages, or BUY someone like an Austin. Either way it requires considerable investment from the board. There is no getting around that for them, which I assume is the point NW will be stressing at tomorrows meeting. Otherwise they risk losing out on promotion and quite probably losing their best players and/or manager - simple really.Originally posted by rangersroar View PostMost decent strikers from the Prem who may be available are going to be on big wages, and we would be forced to pay a large percentage of that.
