Now, if I were a cynical and neurotic bar steward, I'd offer the opinion that some these names, posts and leaks are solely designed to lower expectations so that everyone will say 'phew, close shave there. Thank God we have LDC!'

But as I say,those would be the views of a cynic.

Any cynics out there?

Our expectations should be higher than half the premier league clubs.

Why? We pay Premier League ticket prices and have some of the richest backers in the world.

If it isnt LDC it should be a top top manager who we all know.

Anything else is a let down by the board and does not represent value for money with regards to our Premiership outlay

Think the London Standard will also publish story about magilton tomorrow or Friday. Which adds to my concerns

I've said all along that my personal belief is that it will be the utterly disastrous appointment of LDC. I've got a hefty wedge on it too. I would be for once absolutely delighted to lose it.

We'll see I suppose.
