  • So with Curbs now out of the running.....

According to the Paddington Mecury the short list gets shorter and shorter.

    So far names mentioned in the press include;

    Magilton-
    Calderwood
    Ince
    Coppell
    Wise
    Jewell

Coppell looks like he will take time out of football

Magilton did a poor job at Ipswich, joke appointment.

Paul Ince fired from Blackburn but did reasonable jobs at MK Dons and Macclesfield

Calderwood was binned at Forest - no way.

Wise would not be a popular move ex Chelsea blah blah blah

Jewell is past his sell by date........12 months without a win at Derby.

Who the hell does the leave that would be a popular choice, and bloody good coach.

If thats the best the board can offer then we might as well stick with Ainsworth and let him bring in a decent number 2 to help.

I cant understand why the club are not going all out to bring in the best guy available.

Stupid really when you consider how much we spent on the posh seats last year.

Keep Ainsworth on as "Coach" get rid of GP and get Terry Venables to sort out signings and the whole scouting structure at the club

Curbs is deluded and apparenlty holding out for a prem job, yeah like they are that readilly available, and he's that great...

As for the other list, it is garbage. Some names plucked out of the sacked manager bin simply becasue they are out of work. Why on earth would Flav entertain the idea of Magilton and Calderwood when they have just failed with teams in our div and been sacked...it's farcical.

Jewell has issues and had his day so no thanks... Coppel would be fantastic and ideal for us, if left to run the team his way, but i doubt he will go straight into another job.

Only positive thing for you is that they are "managers"

If true that's embarrassing, I would rather go for a foreign coach than either Magilton or Calderwood. Even go as far as saying bring back De Canio ;)

It would have to be Jewell if it's a choice from those three. But he'd have to be manager.

One light at the end of the tunnel is this.

No appointment will be made for about two weeks, so we have time to interview others.

Average Manager plus little spent on players will equal mid table at best.

Please god let the board show more ambition than that.
