quick report...short notice 4 team ( 11 a side on full pitch) invite..
£200 a team and all to the community in the trust scheme, so £800!
idea was for a "semis" 3rd v 4th then final ...but failing light meant a semi ( 30mins each way!!) and a shortened final (30mins total)
1st game...groundstAff v indy r's ( norfolt mel team) a close game saw indy r's win 13-1, and the 1 came as we watched the pain agonisingly mount for the opposition...
2nd game...fopqr v lsa ( select) much closer, a good game...fopqr play regularly, lsa was formulated over 24hrs, some didn't know the others name..regardless all deserve credit and played well..h/t saw lsa 2-1 down to a og from nowhere, lsa had a strong dominant 10 mins and conceded!!
2nd half, well foqpr raised their game, lsa holding on...then we level!
great cross and 2-2...straight from ko, foqpr break and it was a good cross and splendid headed 3rd...chasing the game, we missed a sitter, helguson would've been proud of!!!!!!!!!!!!
last min corner, foqpr left 2 upfront, we gambled and left 2 back, with one of ours told to stay ready to sprint back..corner goes over, scramble..cleared and the last goal was magnificent...4-2...30 yard lob, take a bow son, take a bow....
final...basically foqpr turned straight around... 15 mins each way..foqpr won 1-0...indys had a few chances, both goalies made fine saves..
lsa have to thank QBP for effectively managing the team, i was reserve sub and "loud mouth" on the touchline...ant hennelly for sorting out kit..
