Hardly spent any money on players so far so wont be able to call it 'getting pants pulled down', if they dont hit the ground running.Originally posted by Bill View PostHave we or are we going to get caught with our pants down once again re new signings
A lot of them are also youngsters who we have to have patience with.

in what way? signings seem to be relatively cheap and on much lower wages than their predecessors.Originally posted by Bill View PostHave we or are we going to get caught with our pants down once again re new signings
the only worry that i have is that half of them don't make the grade overall, but then that'll just be a cheaper version of what we've been picking up for the last 3 years.

I dont see any issue with the signings so far. Clearly we are going in a completley different direction and i fo one am a lot happier for it. We have signed good young players with potential, many of which have been playing for succesful teams and hav a winning mentality. I dont care if they were in league 1 with Swindon / Forest, they were among the better players in that division so will more than be good enough for the championship. Add to that the likes of Polter, who could be a very shrewd signing and Mackie who is tried and tested, no matter how frustrating at times, you know what you're getting and again more than good enough for this division.Originally posted by Bill View PostHave we or are we going to get caught with our pants down once again re new signings

You talk like the Championship is full of sides with top class players.... it isnt. Even if we sold Austin, Fer, Sandro, Phillips, we still have some massive names to be playing at that level, so not sure how anyone could catagarise us as short in talent on a peer to peer comparison.

Not digging you out but it's so easy to just say we need "a bit more quality". But what exactly do we need? Defenders? Midfielders? Strikers?Originally posted by Wolfy View PostI have no qualms with the signings but we need a bit more quality or we could be in for a dog fight as we are short in talent.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
