Exactly. There is no money to spend on Defoe yet there is almost twice as much to bid for Rhodes.
The transfer window is well and truly open.

difference is defoe is well past his best and to spend loads on fee and high wages is nonsensical....Rhodes on the other hand would be a very sound and wise investment.
Doubt it will happen though sadly.
