In fairness we have always been rubbish at closing out matches. How many nerve-wracking final few minutes have we all sat thru over the yrs at Loftus Rd?

Exactly but it's not that hard. Fair enough against the big boys who have quality all over the pitch but against Leicester, WBA, Palace and Swansea!

Keep the ball, slow tempo and play down the sides or if you have to go long, put it out for a throw. We as fans will take care of the ball for 10 or 20 seconds for the team to push up and box them in but no....

All we do is show naivety and try being clever, take players on or lump it straight to the keeper, while not moving a yard up the pitch.

Don't be embarrassed to run in the corner, yet it seems we are!

The players all know this......they just aren't good enough to be able to do it. If we had a full team that were comfortable on the ball it would be different - but we haven't.

Think this is true. Kranjcar about the only player who can keep the ball.

Good point Buff we prob have in squad of 25 four may be at a push five players who are truly comfortable with the ball at their feet niko who is always on the bench, fer who gets stuck out wide, Rio who is a sub and adel who don't want to be here and a manager who don't want him here and I would throw Isla in too not very good for elite level if football

The lack of confidence on the ball is one of the reasons that we give it away so often. This leads to increased pressure on our defence.

Personally, I think our back four and Green have done remarkably well considering the pressure that they have had to deal with. In the game today we allowed Swansea 25 shots at goal. We were lucky that Bony wasn't on the pitch from the start. Most teams would punish us for that. All the talk of late substitutions and tactics etc. are all well and good but don't really address what is a fundamental problem for us IMO.

We may all bicker when things go wrong with some being positive and some being negative and that is natural, but please never question Anyone on here's commitment to the club.
You are wrong there mate I'm on the forum win lose or draw, by the sound of it some of you are easily pleased no matter what the sore is I'm not with giving away silly goals that cost us.

We should have used our subs, no question about that. We were lucky not conceding before that. We had our chances but Swansea was the better team. At the end dissapointed losing two points but over 90 minutes we were lucky to get one.

Apart from having the worst away performance record in the top flight anywhere in Europe you mean?
