Sam Vokes again

I know this has been muted before,but Cardiff are about to highjack Coventry's attempt to loan Sam Vokes from Wolves.At 19 and 6'2" and a fairly consistant striker could he not do a job for us if we nick him from under Cardiff's noses or do you think there's a self imposed ban on loanees until Flaviogate is sorted out?

Vokes got 16 in 54 apps for Bournmouth and 6 in 36 for Wolves. Not wishing to be picky, but that's hardly consistant by anyones means. Blackstock is more consistant than him. I don't think he's the type of striker we should be looking at. Young with potential he may be, but so is Gary Hooper. I'd sooner have Hooper, Beckford or Lambert over him.

I couldn't agree more,but with our recent history surrounding Hooper and Beckford, I assumed these were total non-starters given Palidini's conflicting statements on those particular players.

In fairness the 6 in 36 came in only 891 minutes of actual playing time meaning that he scored every 149 minutes. In comparison Blackstock scored a goal every 216 minutes for us last season.

Oh dear...if you check recent posts, I think you'll find It's you who keeps bringing him up. This is the 1st time I've 'brought' his name up in ages without be prompted by you. I only used him in comparisson as I firmly believe Vokes is no better. Over rated in my humble opinnion and not enough of an improvement on what we have to warrent spending money on him. Hooper, Beckford, Lambert, Fryatt, Chopra, Maynard, Ward, Tudgay, Morrisson and on, and on, and on goes the list of strikers I'd pay for before him.
