  • Message on Internet explorer

I keep getting a message on this site saying Internet Explorer has modified this site to prevent cross site scripting. Any idea what this means.

No idea as I haven't used Internet Explorer for quite a long time.
Does any other sites you view give you the same message?

No and it only started today.

        Apologies for delay in replying.
I've tried to create the message myself by using Internet Explorer, but can't seem to replicate.
I'll pass this over to our site I.T. guy and see if he can shine any light on this.

The following is from Brian Wilson; may be worth trying:

          This might work

          1) Click start and click on internet explorer

          2) Hit Alt key on keyboard

          3) Click on Tools , internet options

          4) Click on security tab

          5) Click on Custom level

          6) Scroll down to Enable XSS FILTER “Under Scripting”

          7) Place a check mark for Disable XSS FILTER and click on Ok

          8) Click ok to close the properties windows

          9) Restart internet explorer and check for issue
Let us know how you get on.

Best option is to stop using IE if possible Mel. It's outdated and there are better browsers - Firefox or Chrome - Opera developer if you want a built in VPN....

I didn't do anything and the message disappeared. I am used to Internet Explorer and all its quirks. I occasionally use Chrome. Microsoft Edge is awful.

                  Agree, Edge is terrible.
I used to be a huge advocate of Internet Explorer, but in the past couple of years I have found it far too unstable and use Chrome 90% of the time.
