Same old really. On paper we should have a lot more threat going forwards than we do in reality. If Stephan can unlock that potential we should be a handful for most sides in this division. More likely though is we will give them a head start and end up chasing the game and losing. No result would surprise me.

Im going and looking forward to it but cant see us getting our first win. Happy to take a point. Lose and we go into the Charlton game with 1 from 9.
Stephan will be feeling a bit of pressure if we cant beat the addicks. We've had a relatively easy start and he would been expecting more than a point to out of that lot.
Be nice to go into that game with something from cov but we need the team to start properly and it would be nice if we picked the right players for a change.

To me, Cov are on a mission to get promoted and got themselves prepped and ready to come out of the traps. We on the other hand still seem to be "fiddling about" and getting up to speed. Our mission appears to be getting to the international break with some players still standing and take it from there.
I don't mind getting beaten by a better team but I do mind when we get out-run, out-muscled and out-worked - that's not acceptable to me.
I don't mind losing if we put in a shift, get forward and try and score goals but end up falling short. What I won't accept is useless dull cautious play with barely a shot on goal.... how on earth is a club supposed to win a game if it doesn't actually bother the other team's goalie???
I'm not at all confident about the game but I'm hoping to at least see an uptick in our bite and forward intent....... some "green shoots" if you will. Get after them and see where that takes us.

He needs to be reminded that hes not our main man anymore. He needs to just do his job. Varane and kone are the main men now. Illy just needs to keep it simple. Hes obsessed with doing it all on his own.Originally posted by daveshads View Postand take a view about Ilias' involvement/selection. I believe this is really a key factor. He just wants everything to go through him.

Fully agree hopefully Varane is fit to play as we've definitely missed his presence. I'd also bring in Nardi I think it might also help settle the defence but I'd probably push the Dane in a more advanced position with Chair and dembele, we really miss Poki but I don't think Smyth is the answerOriginally posted by 72bus View PostOn paper we are done for , but hoping we drop Madsen , start with kone and each and everyone of them works their socks off.
Start nardi xI played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Its just my opinion and im sure you have your reasons but I really hope madsen isn't playing on sat. Just dont see what he brings. Just strolls around and then gives the ball away and never tries to win it back. Give vale a run instead.Originally posted by WeAreQPR12 View Post

Maybe worth a try Dono, but I think Madsen is one of the casualties of Chair doing it all on his own and pulling things out of shape. If my memory serves me well, our best run last season was when we had our worst injury list, which included Chair.

Julien Stephan has confirmed that Jimmy Dunne is set to return for QPR against Coventry City on Saturday.
Dunne was last week given the green light to return to training with a view to playing against the Sky Blues.
The R’s captain suffered a hip injury during a pre-season friendly against Brentford.
“Jimmy has been training this week. Everything is OK,” said head coach Stephan.
“I don’t think he is 100% (match fit) yet, but he is OK.”
Meanwhile, follow-up tests that were needed to assess Kwame Poku’s hamstring problem have suggested he is likely to return to training after the international break and could feature against Wrexham on 13 September or Stoke the following weekend.
The same applies to striker Michael Frey, who has not played so far this season.
And Stephan does not believe recent signing Richard Kone will be ready to play a full 90 minutes until next month.
The Frenchman explained: “He needs two or three weeks more.
“Before he signed here he didn’t do (play) a lot and pre-season is so important.
“I think he will be completely ready after the international break. He is OK to play, but isn’t 100% yet.”
