I trust Warbuton and the team will work hard at switching to a useful defensive unit when we lose the ball. Chins up.

This is a major problem even this early in the season.
Warburton must stop the team from bleeding too many goals. This pattern is like his first season with us. This needs to be addressed asap or it will cost us this season.
We should not be conceding this many goals playing 5 at the back.

Unfortunately the defence hasn't improved at all since he's been at the club. All other aspects have in terms of the way we play, the attacking options, our shape, our resilience and togetherness but we still concede shocking goals and despite all the defenders he has signed, it's still our achilles heel. Sort that and we will go places. We need a few clean sheets but it's our first choice back 5 and we are being picked apart very easily.

2 goals conceded on the break. Any side with qui j strikers will do well against us. It was the same against Coventry at home. They should have been 2 up by ht and they targeted dickie and de wijs. Sane again today. We have no pace at cb. A defender's first job is ti be able to defend. We seem obsessed with watching them knocking 25 yard passes along the backline and playing pretty triangles. Put them in a foot race and they are ####ed. Give Dunne a chance and maybe tell some of our lads they are allowed to shoot from the edge of the box instead of walking it in. Lots to work on for the coaching team.

I think that is part of the problem, our expectations were raised with the way we finished last term and the signings we made but if you look at it there are holes all over this squad, it's a long season but matches like today do nothing to suggest we are going to be in the play off mix!

these last three games we scored five goals and only one coming from a striker!

De wijs will be the weak link this year. Zero pace and blowing out of his #### today.
