MARK Warburton was a happy man after he saw his QPR side come back from 2-0 down to beat Stoke City 4-2 on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Sam Clucas and Tyrese Campbell gave the visitors a first-half lead in west London but Rangers went in at the break level courtesy of goals from Jordan Hugill and Ebere Eze.
Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ilias Chair added to the tally after the interval to ensure all three points for the R’s, and Warburton said: “I am delighted with the fact we fought back.
“All credit to the players because they showed huge character and desire.
“I thought we looked really good going forward. We missed some unbelievable chances, but showed good quality and the backline looked really strong against a very talented Stoke team.”
Reflecting on the fact there were four different goal scorers for the R’s, Warburton added: “The players have really responded today following the departure of our top goal scorer.
“The pressure has really been put onto Jordan.
“He has been on a bit of a barren spell and sometimes that can really impact on your confidence, but we know he is a talented player and he showed that today.
“Throughout the team the boys stood up. Defensively the conditions were very difficult but we dealt with it well.
“I thought in the second half especially we made some good contact with the ball, looked dangerous going forward and thoroughly deserved all three points.”
It was QPR’s first win in five, and Warburton added: “We were a lot more clinical than we have been in previous weeks.
“We missed some glorious chances before they scored and then missed some chances in the second half and that epitomised our form of late, but today we got the win.
“Today’s result was so important. We are still eight points away from the 50 points total which everyone sets as a maker and then we can push on from there.
“We now go to Nottingham Forest which is another tough venue but it’s really important to push on and claim the victory.”

You certainly wasn't alone mateOriginally posted by gator View Post
Sorry, I was very pissed, I don't think I was alone in that view at the time however, a gutsy comeback win changes everything and I do feel if we had lost today we would have been in real trouble!

I know mate I get it , we showed great spirit and talent to turn that around today , if only we could defend we’d be in play offs.Originally posted by gator View Post
