First goal was shocking. Could tell they would score as soon as Smith was robbed as there was literally no cover in the middle where Swansea had 2 players running free.
We are good, not great, going forward but the basics of defending seem to be low on the agenda.

It's part and parcel of defending. They got players behind the ball rather than running towards their own goal. Our defenders repeatedly got caught in the wrong side of the ball. Third goal showed all our back four facing their own goal. Too slow to react.

Every time we had a shot a Swansea player seemed to be in the way , best blocking team I've seen

Agree - we were by far the better team in the 2nd half - on another night we score 4 - some of those melees in the box last ditch blocks, some legal some not so. An incomprehensible performance by the linesman. a couple of point blank saves by their keeper. Apart from picking the ball out of the net 3 times Lumley had very little to do

feel a bit better reading these posts. But please Rangers, let's not go into one of those losing streaks

The team still needs some rejigging, I don't think we've found the optimum line-up.
The scoreline doesn't concern me, games can change very quickly and a scoreline doesn't always reflect the play over 90mins, what I am concerned about is the lack of goals and a few individual performances.
Tonight was my second game this season and based on what I saw against Huddersfield I didn't think we'd win tonight.
We'll need to respond on Saturday and I think the team need another win under their belt.

I felt we played well enough in parts but defending is part of the game too and tackling .had we lost 1-2 i would have felt aggrieved .

Agree with all of the above , there was only one team winning that at 1.1 but Barbets challenge was madness.Bit worried about where the goals will come from apart from Hugill.

On another day that would have been 4-2 to Rangers, did not deserve to lose game on how we played going forward but can’t concede 3 at home and expect to win ! Eze, Kane, Bright, Chair and Pugh, were great going forward and Eze was outstanding.

On my way home | QPR 1 Swansea 3
Started again tonight with Smith and Amos, would personally prefer Chair to start at home, very good opening 20 minutes with flowing football and a couple of good chances, however young Smith got caught in possession, they broke away 2 on 1 and striker coolly slotted ball home, a bit against the run of play and they did not deserve the lead
Second half only 1 team in it, we battered them got a well deserved equaliser, then Barbet gave away a ridiculous penalty and again we were behind, their third was odd as it appeared we did not have any defenders within 5 yards of the scorer.
Again I cannot he too downhearted as some of our play is great, but we are leaking goals and individuals are making shocking mistakes, not panicking yet but need a win Saturday.Amos went of injured as did Cameroon and maybe Smith.
MOTM for me by a mile was Eze, ran them ragged and did his defensive duties, Chair is another one who caused panic amongst Swans defence and I would start him every home game, BOS had a good game but also run out of puff.
Take our chances, cut out stupid errors and we will be fine.Last edited by Romford Hoop; 21-08-2019, 10:32 PM.Tags: None
