We didn't test them, they didn't let us.
Would've been interesting to see if their boss had a plan b.
But at the moment he doesn't need to, his team stifle teams, with hard work and energy.

That was truly awful viewing tonight, football wasn’t played out there tonight, more like head tennis at times & hoofing it up & they was better at it than us, Barnsley wasn’t great & the football they play I despise but it’s effective & was too much for us, we just got sucked in to their play & wasn’t very good at it

everyone could see that how we set up wasn't working or going to work with the back 5.... how about adapting or changing formation or how we were trying to effect the game.
nah he put Adomah RWB real good idea that...
Take Geoff off... go 4 4 2 and let's try and get something out the bloody game.
Barnsley did nothing great in the game bar the free kick.
they closed the ball and pressed us and we couldn't handle it thats all.
I want a manager that adapts to situations
Warburton thought going back to the 11 that played in our good run was the answer. I knew against a high pressure, quick side we we’re gonna get well beat.
So at half time it’s 1-2 courtesy of a cracking free kick and I think SURELY he’s gonna change to a back 4, take Cameron off and make 2-3 changes injecting some pace to help Chair, who only looks poor because he needs the likes of Willock and Adomah around him to create and get into the rhythm of quick passing to effect the game.
However it was their manager who changed their front 3 and immediately one of them scored to kill the game off!!!

As Warbs said post match, one of first couple of chances in first ten minutes go in and it's a different game. Doesn't excuse the next 80 minutes either side of the bench but chances must be taken.
If it weren't for Charlie we would be relegation fodder and the blame for that runs deep.
Move on but being realistic we are far from a team that should be expecting a win. To those that expect Warburton to change formation and structure mid game, with what personnel? Not excusing Uncle at RWB, clearly not an option, but I do not see a squad and bench of talent that can adapt against a good team during a match we a losing. Maybe I'm wrong.
Our goal this season has to be on building for next year, and in many ways this is a good match, space rockets don't get to space without blowing up a couple of times, ask Elon. The question is what is being done to make us competitive in these games in the future.

The commentator said last night that Barnsley has one of the youngest squads in the championship, and we had one of the most 'experienced'.
I think it showed in the fitness levels.
Whenever a team presses hard in the first half, I always think to myself that they won't be able to keep that up all game, but when the Barnsley forwards were slowing up, he just replaced them and kept up the pressing game.

Knackered Rs.
We needed to beat their press, which was more like a cavalry charge.
But you need pace and better pass accuracy.
They are a good bet to win the playoffs.
Be interesting if they play the busstoppers whether they will handle them better.
