Gordon held the position with distinction for 27 years, providing the club and his fellow R’s supporters with invaluable assistance during that time.
His family hope whoever takes on the role will get the same level of enjoyment that Gordon took from it.
The honorary role will require the successful applicant to have access to their own archive of QPR historical facts, details and stats, surrounding players and matches.
Requests may be received by the club from supporters, and the club will act as the conduit between the supporter and the historian.
The club’s own channels will also require assistance when marking particular occasions and anniversaries.
