  • Loan Players

Trouble with Huddersfield they have got where they are with 5 loan players. Not fair really.1Liverpool,1 Man City, 2 Chelsea and 1 Ingolstadt. Not really their team and have all got to be replaced next year.
Alright we had a couple but with a possible 'view to buy'. Should we have had more? Would they have been our team? Personally I think 2 is enough.

Whether it's fair or not it's open to any club to follow the same route , didn't our dof say we arn't going to groom other clubs players when he said we are going to buy lower league players and build for the future well that went well didn't it ? We loaned players from Spurs like walker and Adel plus Routledge , nothing wrong with the loan system if used sensible , Warnock used loans

Fair play to them. They had the good sense to bring in a manager with decent connections who could procure some decent talent from the top flight for a season, probably for not a lot of outlay as well. We'd do well to learn from them!

5 loan players if they go up could cause a bit of trouble if not sensibly replaced.

We like to whinge about League 1 players but hey, at least they our R's.

If 1 in 10 is a gem then we are off!!!

Wonder what Smithies reckons about Hudders?

If only 1 in 10 is a success it's means we're not doing something right and wasted a lot of money in the process.

Loans are fine to supplement the talent already at a club.

We used loan players for our benefit in our promotion season?

            Routledge
            Ishmael Miller
            Kyle Walker
            Tommy Smith

All regular and not our players.

            Its a sensible system.

              Certainly is.

And let's be honest, any side that goes up will need to dip into the transfer market a bit to compete. I don't see the harm in using 4 or 5 decent loan players to help you get into the Premiership.

If they go up and get all that PL money who is to say they wont buy them all?

No. They got where they are by an inspired managerial appointment. He transformed them. And sorted the loans.

After guiding them to 19th last season.

I'd take 19th followed by a play off final and so would you. And Tbf though he only joined Huddersfield in Nov 16.

Quite similar to Holloway then. Played 30 games got 36 points. Holloway played 30 games got 33 points.

Cannot understand how you can praise Wagner for that, when Holloway apparently is the worst managerial appointment in the history of Football. Who knows if we end up in the play off final next year?

Holloway took over in November. Written off by many unlike Wagner.

I think any of the teams that are promoted the play offs will struggle next season. That's not too difficult to predict since two of the teams that went up last season have just come straight back down.
