Sums it up really! Like you are saying. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Tony Cascarino: QPR Managerial Changes are ‘Laughable’ Tony CascarinoUnfortunately for some fans, they are lumbered with owners of the club they support that literally don’t have a clue about football, that I’m afraid has been the situation at QPR. Paul HartIt amazes me that successful businessmen often buy clubs without any idea how football clubs should be run. They hire and fire managers on a regular basis with a blinkered view on how they think things should work but with little or in most cases no experience of what football is all about. The situation at QPR is laughable; they have chopped and changed their managers far too frequently for the players or team to build any momentum. Paul Hart was at the club for a very short period of time which was also disrupted by the recent weather conditions. Paul was unable to do as much work on the training ground as I’m sure he would have liked but still his departure is just another embarrassing managerial casualty at the club. Rangers have had four different men in charge either permanently or as caretaker already this season and that is no way to bring success to a football club. The owners have acted like fans with some idiotic decision making since arriving at Loftus Road. The way they have gone through managers must now severely impact on their ability to bring in any manager of any quality. No manager in their right mind would accept a job at QPR with the lack of faith shown by the club’s board. Stability is the key to growth at a club, some manager appointments don’t work out of course but they have to be given a chance and those who employ them must be accountable for hiring them in the first place. QPR fans certainly don’t deserve what is happening to their club, the fanfare regarding the takeover suggested they would be the new Chelsea or Man City in terms of spending but that hasn’t really materialised. If the owners continue to illustrate their lack of knowledge of how a football club should be run, then for me, they won’t be promoted to the Premier League in the near future and in all honesty they deserve what they get.

Not often I agree with Cascarino but again spot on! for me the only thing I couldn't fathom about sousa's reign was 6 changes at charlton after a cracking win against Preston! Then we should have won but for usual incompetance from our keeper. How Sousa kept so many clean sheets with what he had at his disposal only Pete could find fault with!

Either way, Sousa should not have been sacked. QPR had a blip in with defeats against Ipswich & Norwich along with far too many 0-0 draws, but results got better with wins against Swansea & Bristol City that halted a slide down the table and still had an outside chance of the play-offs (albeit a slim one). The Board should have been looking forward to seeing him start this season with a fully fit squad to choose from, but instead a man who knows next to nothing about football, on the advice of a waiter-cum agent-cum DoF, chose to sack him on the basis of divulging club secrets, as if Paladini hadn't often blabbed to anyone who would listen about QPR's intended transfer targets, player sales etc. Well as they say, you reap what you sow and QPR look like facing a relegation battle this season and with the current useless manager along with demotivated and or gutless players, it is one they look like losing. Hope FB enjoys watching L1 football, because I know I hated it. |

6 changes baffled me as well but if my memory serves me right Charlton were languishing at the bottom of the league and Super Paulo probably thought it was still a winnable game and may have wanted to give players a rest with Watford at home 2 days later. There may have been a few players carrying knocks as well, you just don't know. One thing I do know for sure is that Charlton away was the first time we'd scored 2 goals away from home in the league all season following our first goal away from home against Plymouth earlier in the month of Dec 2008 in 9 away games....a rot which had set in prior top Paulos appointment. |

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but after Sousa went the writing was on the wall for the club. DoF doesn't work in this country, I would love an example where it has been successful?
I hate Gianni, he is a cancer within our club. He is a liar and he takes backhanders, we all know it too. If Pete would like to associate himself with people like that then more fool him. Through previous sponsors who were around before the takeover I can guarantee you that GP is a nasty lying piece of work, I used to sit in the directors box and I saw it with my own two eyes. |

Pretty disapointing that's all you can comment on from the posts in this thread. Still, il do the decent thing and answer your question, it's only courtious. Clinton Morrison's name was mentioned during that summer, in the media and by yourself. As Morrison was an ex dowie player and the fact It was confirmed yesterday by nodge, that is good enough for me. So, if nodge is incorrect, are you saying dowie did not want Morrison and was happy with what he was given (di carmine) or was there someone else that dowie wanted? |
