    Club statement:

    QPR Financial Fair Play Dispute

AN Arbitral Panel has dismissed QPR’s claim that the English Football League’s 2012 Financial Fair Play Rules were unlawful under Competition Law, and also found that the fine levied by the EFL on the Club was not disproportionate.

The decision of the three-man panel was released to the parties on October 19th.

QPR Chief Executive Officer Lee Hoos has confirmed the club will appeal the decision.

He said: “We are understandably disappointed with the decision.

“We are currently examining our next steps, but we will be appealing.

“However, until the matter is resolved in full, we are not in a position to provide any further comment.”

QPR and the EFL will not be making any further comment on this matter at the present time."

At least, but they won't be paying that yet if it is appealed as they say it will be.

Their own fault with a ridiculous, irresponsible, unsustainable mad cap transfer policy!

The whole situation is a joke.

Clearly those in charge of the club have been very naive, but how does a huge fine resolve anything? The club has been running at a loss for god knows how long, a fine of this proportion is only going leave us in a situation where we will need to continue running at a loss for the foreseeable future. At the same time we have clubs like Manchester City also living well beyond their means, but balancing the books with dubious sponsorship deals.

FFP isn't really making anything fair. In fact, it is protecting Europe's elite clubs, and making the gulf between them and everyone else even greater. Unfortunately for us, we've walked straight into a situation where we are going to be made an example of!

                              100% Agree,
The principal is sound but the reality is as you describe. How is that a level playing field! Feels like FFS rather than FFP at the moment that's for sure!
