Did people assume we would get a 35k stadium just like that?

17.5k for Brentford seems a bit on the low side considering it will be their home for the next 100 odd years
uncle did say it will be built by 2018/19.

Rangers have support from all the major bodies required to build the new ground as soon as 2018,

That article was written in 2014. A lot has happened since then. They thought they would be able to just flex their money and muscles and get hold of the car giant site and now who knows what's going on with the Linford Christie site. Unfortunately I can't see any of this coming to fruition before 2020 at least, and that goes for the training ground too.

                      10 year project.

into his 7th year now and not a shovel in the ground at either training ground or stadium.

still 3 more years to go mind.

Was talking to one of activists that oppose W F yesterday and she really didn't have a clue about what they are argueing about , when I told her she had bigger worries closer to home as the fields on the other side of railway were brownfield and in a bigger danger of housing development and she should be fighting that rather than W F which would remain mainly open ground available to the community , she looked shocked

With our current financial plight and crowd size I won't be losing too much sleep over a delayed new ground. The training ground is more important in the short term imo.

agree with that, only problem is that we are no nearer a new training ground than we were 2 years ago.

what is wrong with just building on harlington and getting that up to standard instead.

Harlington not ours so we would be paying to improve someone else’s property with no long term benefit

We should have gone and purchased old Barclays training ground as it's been abandoned last ten years but too late now as twyford school are developing it.

Should now try and get wasps training ground back it’s only now used for their kids teams, proper side train elsewhere here
