I was thinking of going to 'THe Rocket'. Not sure if its an away pub or what but drank there last year. Near the station (Putney bridge) which is where I would be getting off.

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Nice part of the world mate. Used to drink in the Bricklayers Arms when I was a lad, back in the 70s - it was pretty wild in those days! What's it like now?

Flanagans was OK if you knew the locals. Went in at 11am once with a mate and was playing pool on the raised bit where the table used to be, one by one a local came in and we was obviously on their turf, by 1200 it became quite uncomfortable as we were surrounded, the nice chaps gave us a very nice offer of a fight which was a little unfair as we were only 2, we got out OK but it was a close call! Would have been early eighties.
I was in what was Flanagans last season for Fulham game, very nice with cheap beer and from 1030 too! Same result tomorrow would be nice.
