  • Smyth and Eze

Thank the Lord for those two

Not knocking him at all but Eze hasn’t done anything for me personally to shout home about, but really like Smyth - lad looks class and seems to have a wise head on his shoulders.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

There was a play late on when we were under a bit of pressure where Eze made a nice run after getting posession right on the edge of our box, he looked very cool doing it and his run turned in to a bit of game killing pressure for us, that's the type of thing that gives me hope we might have a player there, I'm with you though, I haven't seen enough where he is an automatic starter as some seem to think he is!

That's exactly what I was thinking on the way home not just has the skill and pace but a footballing brain to go with it

Give them a chance from the start and then judge. Eze whilst only on the pitch for 10 minutes, seemed to have a sensible head on his shoulders, yes slowed the pace down but hey 1-0 up and not under any pressure why go Gung-Ho. Smyth also had a great cross but also not enough time on the itch to judge. Lets see how they do if and when they both start and have at least 70

Totally agree. Smyth is so much more effective than Washington.

Smyth has great off the ball movement which is something we lack as a team. Felt for Washington today as we create #### all from open play that you could call service. Give him a few off the bench games and hope it works better for him.

Posted on match thread no more Washington. How can he play Washington if Smyth is fit? Has a much better game in every way.

                        Because Holloway always knows best.

With wingers too, or is that too much to ask for?

LOL. It shouldn't be, but it unbelievably is...... Smyth, pulling wide, will have to supply Smith with crosses.... And someone will eventually have to train Luongo to play it wide.
