How would you like to finance the termination of Holloway's contract?

I think the want for change is that currently there are managers available Clement, Monk, Warburton etc all viable contenders. They will all get jobs sooner rather than later and we will be left with Olly. I agree that we aren’t in serious trouble so why but that’s mainly down to other teams inability to get 45 points let alone 50 this year.

We don't have coaches we have one goalkeeping coach,Gavin Ward, and one Head of Medical Services Matt May and one Kit Manager Gary Doyle. Top this up with Holloway and Bircham Maybe part of our problem is we need new, specialist Defensive,Attacking and Fitness coaches.

I also don't want Ollie sacked as I don't see a viable replacement, that would do any better, until we get out of FFP quagmire.

However, though a loyal fan I am, I do not get to enough games to have an opinion on the volatility of Ollie's tenure, from a fans perspective. Is it really that bad? From where i'm sitting it's a bit rubbish and we should be better, but not so horrendous that we need to start paying to sack a manager...
That depends who you ask to be honest.
At games he still seems to have the fans support. Most appear to know he is working within financial constraints and allow for that. As I have said before, I would question his tactical nous (although he does occasionally get it right and very rarely gets credit then) and I think he is limited but as we stand at the moment I don't think he is that bad. How we end the season will determine if he gets to work his last season I would guess.

“Still seems to have the fans support”. Really? Not judging by the growing swathes of empty seats at LR.... I know dozens of home and away supporters who have simply packed it in. We deserve a lot better than Holloway and Bircham running the show. ST Sales will be interesting.

Clement and Monk ok they could well work out well here, but both are yet to prove much, Warburton i don't see the fuss. Either way I don't see a manager willingly stepping foot into Loftus Road with the FFP ongoing. Setting yourself up for a fall.

we're still a championship club though and a good project for any up and coming manager, with or without the ffp. we're a solidly mid table side so if any manager can take us further than that then that looks good for him. managers will look at us as a stepping stone club

Interesting point mate. You could argue that sacking Ollie will finance itself, I'm sure season ticket sales will look much healthier if he is no longer in charge!

I thought that Tarbs but the poll on here showed 70% fans would renew regardless if Hollowhead was in charge or not.

The club know this hence why they don't give a shite.

If Holloway goes it won't be because of the brand of football it will be because of the season ticket sales. Money talks.

I don't see many more empty seats than I did this time last year or the year before ! As regards to Warburton didn't he leave Brentford because he wouldn't work under a Dof
Ollies game plan leave a bit to be desired yep , but some of the criticism is ott he doesn't play the young players that's well wide of the mark there were 4 in Saturday's squad 2 played ! He does use young players just not our home produced ones why ? Cos obviously he rates the one that have been brought in higher , and look where they come from Millwall , Fulham , Blackpool , spurs , wba , these players I see as move forward after 3 years of nothing worthwhile coming out of our youth development that's still way off track , me I'd rather see the dof go along with the old pals act

Washington loves running so he'd be well up for it. We'd easily make enough batteries to finance ollies termination

Well judging by the fans singing his name etc.
I have found the home games more entertaining than last year but that is just my opinion.

Whenever a club changes manager, the entire backroom staff seems to change, as the new manager wants to bring his own team on board. Of this reason, a change of manager is very costly. The longer the time left of the manager contract, the more expensive it is.

I believe Holloway’s contract expires in June next year. If we sack him now, we will probably have to pay the reminder of his contract, meaning compensating 16 months of salary. In addition, Bircham and a few other people will have to leave, including the coaches, the physio, the fitness coach etc. I guess it will cost quite a bit.

We are apparently close to breaking the FFP rules yet again. This is a big problem in itself, but it will potentially also have negative effect on the dispute/appeal over the FFP breach penalty dating back to our promotion season. If we are to afford the extra costs of getting rid of Holloway and his backroom team, we will most likely have to sell one or more of our players to balance the books in order to avoid getting in breach of the present FFP rules.

I am afraid that very few of our players are saleable. I think the only decent asset we have is Smithies.

My question goes to those wanting to get rid of Holloway: Would you be happy if we parted with Smithies during the summer transfer window to finance the sacking of Holloway, or would you rather see the season ticket prices increase £200 to afford it?
I don't think we'll go down but until we are safe you have to factor in the cost of relegation too. That would lose us players, definitely Smithies I would have thought. Best option all round is for him to improve. Not sure how that works - proper assistant maybe?
