        Was about to say the same mate. Politics works a bit different down here in Africa. 90% of people that go into politics in Africa go in with the aim of lining their own pockets and looking after the people closest to them.

        It's also far more of a popularity show than actual politics. Half the people in some parts don't even have TV's, and even if they did, they haven't got the education to understand things like economics and political agendas. This is how people like Mugabe and Zuma have got away with corruption, state capture and god knows what else. Head down to the townships, take the people food and t-shirts with their picture on it, chat a bit of nonsense and dance around bit with the locals, and that's their vote secured.
