A mix of to eager to impress and lack of match fitness.
Hollowhead should of made an example of him and hung him out to dry to the press instead of standing by his player.

Lucky it wasn't a fan who made the tackle.

didn't need to make the tackle , he's young , stupid and still learning . better players than him have done the same. he'll learn and come back

I think it's inappropriate to discuss a young man's tackle on a fans forum

I never want to see it again. Hope he's dumped. 2 game wonder. Brings nothing.

i think ollie did the right thing by publically backing the player, all managers do it. i doubt it was the same behind closed doors though.
in sir alex' autobiography he said similar stuff about standing by his players in public but that in private it'll be a whole different matter, i highly doubt ollie will just give ryan a hug, ruffle his hair and tell him its fine

He let the team down, it didn’t cost us, I hope he learns from it
                    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Didn't watch the game yesterday, but just watched the highlights this morning. Horrible tackle and was always going to be a straight red. I think the kid was just fired up and keen to make an impression. I'm sure he'll learn from it though. He's actually lucky he didn't injure the Barnsley player, he'd be feeling even worse about things if he'd broken the guys leg.

I think it´s good to see qpr players flying into challenges, when the opposing team breaks instead of walking back at half arsed pace. He timed it wrong no doubt, but the crowd would have been all applauding if he´d won the ball. Split second decision, that went wrong. Get off his back, IMO.

Which of those words don't you understand, fella? There was no need for that tackle. He ought 'bemoan it'
It's clear you have a real issue with the manager as you feel the need to slaughter him in most of your posts . There would be no benefit in him slaughtering a young kid trying to make his way in the game for making an over enthusiastic tackle . I'm sure behind closed doors he will be having a quiet word with him .
